We have lived at West Lodge for 23 years. Rose is a Designer Goldsmith and until 2014 ran the Silversmithing and Jewellery Degree at Truro College. She now continues to design and make jewellery in her workshop. Al is a Graphic Designer and for the last 15 years until 2014 was IT Network Manager for Fowey Community College.

In 2014 we took a career change to restore our Gypsy and Showman's Wagons. We have had a lifelong passion for old wagons and once they were restored we wished to share them and our enthusiasm with other people.

We live at West Lodge which was built in the 1920's by the West family from Trevalfry Farm, which you can see from the Wagon bedroom window across the fields to the south west. In the church there is a stained glass window dedicated to the West family and in the churchyard you will find their graves. The house was built in the Arts and Crafts style with lovely stained glass and carved wood features. The outer walls are made from local China Clay bricks which gives them a yellowish white appearance. The house is hidden from view by mature trees.

Sangers is set in a peaceful meadow on the edge of the beautiful village of Lanreath. She sits under a traditional wooden canopy keeping her cool in summer and protected from the elements in winter . With rural views and a small copse of larch trees it is secluded from our house approximately 50 meters away but easily accessible if help or advice is needed. We recognise our guests privacy and the only contact maybe when we are tending our animals in the meadow for a short period in the day.

The wagon is south facing and enjoys stunning sunsets and far reaching views. The sky at night has no light pollution and is therefore fantastic for star gazing.

We have a Hen and two quiet gentle dogs.
