Lovely spot and amazing accommodation

Lovely stay with beautiful views and lovely owners. The wagon itself is beautifully restored and the addition of the wood fired hot tub nearby is amazing! The wood stove inside the wagon made it super cosy and the instructions for use were idiot proof. It’s such a lovely spot, quiet and perfect for a relaxing break. The recommendations given to us by Rose and Al of places to visit and where to eat were spot on. We are already planning our next trip back (hopefully in the summer when we can make use of the hot tub and hammocks). The amount of work that went into restoring the showman’s wagon and the history is well documented for people to read during their stay. We highly recommend a visit to stay at Sanger’s wagon!

Thank you so much for a terrific review we look forward to seeing you again in the warmer weather. Rose and Al

Magical Stay

We recently stayed for 3 nights at Sangers & had the most amazing time! The wagon itself is so beautiful and we loved hearing the history of its life & restoration. The rest of the facilities were spotless & we had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Rose was lovely & gave us lots of information about great places to visit in the local area. We had a lot of fun & will definitely be back soon! Thank you so much, I haven’t shut up about it since we got back

Hi Jane & Craig Thank you so much for a lovely review. So glad you had a great time and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Hope you are both keeping well. Kind Regards Al and Rose

We stayed for our anniversary in the second week of july 2020 and I can honestly say, we have the most wonderful time! The wagon itself is stunning which is enough, but the additional facilities were fantastic! Rose was a brilliant host and our rather elderly dog, Billy was completely welcome. Would VERY highly recommend!!!

This place is absolutely amazing! Al met us on our very wet and windy arrival and gave us a brief history on the wagon. Rose had made some fresh Scones which were bloody lovely and we also had a bottle of Presecco waiting. The pictures on the website do not do the wagon justice, what a fantastic restoration, the detail is phenomenal! The location is magic situated in the countryside with a short drive, cycle or walk to the coast approx 4 mile. Storm Dennis decided to share our stay with us which made it very interesting. The log fire was an absolute god send. Unfortunately due to the weather we only got one evening in the hot tub but yet again it was perfect. An absolute must stay for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away, a base to hike along the coast from and too, or sometime alone 👍👍 Al gave us all the information we needed to find local amenities and cycle routes and both Katherine and I would recommend Sangers Showman’s Wagon 100%

Absolutely perfect

From the warm welcome when we arrived (including home made scones!), to trusting us to run off with their dogs, Al and Rose are a big part of what makes this place an absolute must for anyone looking to enjoy a break from the stress of everyday life. The wagon itself is stunning, and obviously a real passion project with a lot of history and love behind it. Even in the depths of winter, it provided us with a cosy, comfortable and warm hideaway for our anniversary. The gorgeous wood-fired hot tub meant that after a long day of beautiful walks (ask Rose for her recommendations for where to go and you won't be disappointed!), we could relax our tired muscles, and after five days we were loath to return to London, and already planning our next visit, which for a city girl through and through is a pretty impressive feat! Special thanks to Molly, Lily and Buck Buck the chicken.

So much beauty in one place

We just came back from 2 nights at the Sanger's wagon- every moment we spent there was an absolute pleasure. Not very often does one get the chance to reside in a place, where so much heart, thought and creativity were put into. It was the perfect combination between nature and simplicity to luxury: from laying in the hot tub with a glass of wine, watching the sunset, playing scrabble by the fire in wagon, really- so many beautiful moments. Al and Rose are the nicest hosts, it's really felt how they do what they do from their love to people. They gave us great tips as for where to travel (lots of beauty nearby) and where to shop for groceries, so everything was really smooth. Can't wait to go back already :)
